Drone Explorer is a new division of Drone My Business Ltd, specialising in the capture of precision aerial survey and mapping. These are exciting times for the industry with technology moving so fast, Drone Explorer can supply your businesses with low-cost actionable data, fast, flying remote piloted drones. We are CAA approved for commercial aerial work no. 1596.
We have the expertise and capabilities to fly precision aerial missions collecting fast data capture, for building surveys and inspections, create application maps with accurate measurement, 3D models, monitor construction site progress enabling instant ground truthing, environmental monitoring, high level industrial inspection of radio and mobile cell structures and high definition Orthomosaic photography and 4K filming.
Located in the centre of historic Winchester, Hampshire, we cover Surrey, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Dorset and all other UK destinations. Our rates are very competitive to help your business grow and maximise efficiency and onsite safety. For more information on how we can help, please get in touch via the website or email us.
UAV Drone Aerial Inspection & Survey
High level aerial building and roof inspection surveys using UAV's has made what was previously a difficult and expensive task be achieved quicker, more safely & cheaper using our remote piloted aerial systems
Building inspections of roofs, chimneys, towers, stadiums, wind turbines, church spires, etc. no longer need expensive cherry-pickers or scaffolding. We can give you a series of high resolution images or high definition video of most hard to reach structures. You can even monitor the footage being gathered on our remote ground station screens to make sure you’re getting exactly the images you require. And there’s no longer the need for anyone to leave the ground so the project is obviously much safer. Operating to strict procedures, governed by the UK’s CAA, our first priority is safety.
Using UAV's for inspection, access is much safer and environmentally friendlier than having to employ the use of scaffolding - the drone inspection requires no area of the building or site to closed off while the survey is being completed due to the altitude of the drone unless in a public area where the necessary safety precautions will be implemented as safety is paramount in our operations. This means that your business will have limited disruption to it's daily running.

Napier Park Luton
Napier Park by Augur is a 60 acre site in Luton, a £200 million mixed use regeneration scheme encompassing offices, industrial units, hotel, a food store, retail and residential units.
- 685 residential apartments
- Retail and leisure space
- Exemplar Medical Wellbeing Centre
- High quality public realm piazza with activated retail/leisure frontages
- New public park and landscaping at the heart of the development
Our mission was to survey the site for the start of cut-to-fill earthworks at Napier Park
Once the flight plan of the area to be flown had been finalised, our UAV then flew an autonomous mission capturing multiple images on it's journey, as the above image shows. The images were then sent to the cloud where they were processed for data outputs including 2D orthomosaic Geo Tiff', DSM, 3D Model, volumetrics and measurements of the site.
DOCUMENT AND MONITOR CONSTRUCTION SITES AS THEY EVOLVE. DRONE EXPLORER FOR CONSTRUCTION SITE PLANNING AND MONITORING ALONG WITH SITE SAFETY AND INSPECTIONS FOR LARGE SCALE PROJECTS
Using georeferenced orthomosaics and elevation data from our software, you can view the as-built situation of your site for up-to-date measurements and continued analysis, as well as volumetric measurements for more efficient earthwork management.

How does it work
Our system is fast, simple, intuitive and actionable data can be delivered in a very short time. Monitoring your farmland with precision farming UAV drone technology enables us to achieve tasks that would have been previously expensive and time consuming. With our data, we can generate orthomosaic, NDVI, digital surface models and 3D Modelling all in one. The data can then be exported and shared with other members of your team or agronomists.
The software connects the drone to the internet allowing for its powerful and sophisticated servers in the cloud to plan the flight, run safety checks, and crunch massive amounts of visual data. As the aircraft takes continuous photos during the mission, it captures multiple photos of each distinct feature, from multiple angles. These features are identified and matched by a mathematical process, and aligned on top of each other. The software automatically checks for blurs, occlusions and gaps in data in real time. It then takes corrective action to solve any problems. For example, if a blurry image is detected, the drone is automatically redirected and the image is captured again. Following this, the mission picks up right where it left off.

Aerial 3D Modelling & Visualisation
Using the latest Drone technology and software to create photo-realistic 3D point-cloud and mesh models of structures and landscapes
3D modelling and visualisation is hugely beneficial to building, landscape or urban design projects.
In the early stages of design, it can be used to test out design concepts. At later stages, it can be used to demonstrate the benefits of the project to stakeholders, potential funders and for planning purposes.
Using the latest in high definition 3D technology, we capture accurate survey data. From the resulting point cloud data we can produce 3D models. Using orthorectified photography, we can accurately render the 3D model to produce detailed visualisations for new designs or as-built surveys of buildings, land and civil structures.
- Helps to communicate the benefits of a project to its stakeholders, investors and users.
- Assists with the marketing of a project.
- 3D models and visualisations can support your planning application.
- Document and monitor construction sites as they evolve
- Enables you to visualise a project
- Erosion evaluations
- Post-disaster assessments
- Archaeological site surveys with ease
